Bess Wallerstein Huff
Founder + CEO
Bess Wallerstein Huff is the founder of A Sea Change Agency, a coaching and consulting practice dedicated to helping nonprofits, creative entrepreneurs, and mission-driven businesses navigate transition, define vision, and lead with clarity. Known for her intuitive leadership, strategic mind, and storytelling savvy, Bess partners with individuals and organizations ready to move through uncertainty toward transformative growth.
With over 20 years of executive experience, Bess has guided teams through major brand evolutions, structural realignments, leadership transitions, and multimillion-dollar fundraising and revenue milestones. She’s not only led from within—most recently as Vice President of Marketing & Sales at one of the country’s largest outdoor performing arts venues—but has also stood beside other leaders as a coach, thought partner, and collaborator during times of change.
A rare blend of creativity and operational insight shapes her approach. Bess holds an Executive MBA from Rockhurst University and brings both entrepreneurial grit and institutional depth to her work.
She’s coached executive leaders, boards, and emerging changemakers through personal and professional crossroads, offering strategic counsel, real-world tools, and steady encouragement.
She is no stranger to reinvention. In 2020, Bess co-founded Show Delivered, a pandemic-era venture that brought live performances directly to neighborhoods across Kansas City—reimagining connection during a time of crisis and reaffirming her commitment to accessibility, creativity, and community.
As a founding team member of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Bess spent over a decade building programs, marketing strategies, and partnerships that invited broad, diverse audiences into the arts. Her work in crisis communications during COVID-19 built community trust and organizational resilience at a critical moment.
A trusted voice on the national stage, Bess recently served as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts, reviewing Challenge America grants focused on equity and access. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park, Kansas, helping shape the region’s artistic landscape, and as adjunct faculty at Rockhurst University in the College of Business, Influence and Information Analysis.
